i comm for glams
It can really mean anything.
The Parade Chocobo is not white, it's just a regular fat chocobo with the little pope hat and a special rug or whatever on its back, nothing too special. The white fat chocobo is the Original Fat Chocobo mount (it's just a palette swapped Parade Chocobo) that was from various irl things depending on where you lived at the time of its distribution.
Other possible reasons:
They thought you looked cool.
The other members joined in a party and could not commend one another anyway, so they had no choice other than to pick you or not bother commending anyone at all.
I wouldn't worry about it. I sometimes commend people who make a mistake too, not to be sarcastic but just to show them I acknowledge their efforts. Everyone falls off against Titan at least once in their life.
OMG this!!! For the longest time i didnt understand how people could stay ON the platform against that lumpy jerk. I had a 3-4 month stretch where everytime i got the fight in a roulette, i would eat a landslide at some point and watch the rest of the fight. And on most of those, i would swear on my life that i moved out of the way in time and was tossed by server lag. Hell, even the first time i got the story mode fight the group i went with wiped several times before quitting. I went to bed that night thinking the fight was impossible. Got a better group the next day and passed(dont remember if i stayed on or passed on the floor that first time - i know my first ex titan was a pass from the floor scenario). These days i mostly dont have trouble with it(ive changed my behavior a little), but he still gets me from time to time.
While I do generally commend people for playing their job well there are certain exceptions.
I might give the comm to new players, cause it's hard to get a lot of comms these days, when most people just sprint through duties and run out without giving comms.
If I had a nice talk to someone during the run, I give them my comm.
Depending on my mood, I might throw comms out for funny ways to die, making them feel better about a mistake they made, encouraging them, or because I like their glamour.
Long story short, there's a bunch of reasons people give commendations and you shouldn't interpret too much into it. Be happy you got one :)
The first time I played HM in that dungeon, I fell off twice. (We ended up wiping twice because everyone except the healer got knocked off), still ended up with a few comms. But it depends on the person that gives them for the meaning. It's best not to think about it. I've gotten comm for doing really horrible, yet none when I felt I have done especially good. :P
