That didnt work either. Gave me an error of invalid subcommand.

Only /tell can target people by name now. All other commands can only be used with <t>, <mo>, etc, so you can only use text commands on people you can see/target.

Actually, I found during the weekend thru a crash course mind you that people you grouped with end up in the Contact List. There you can right click their name and blacklist them. So ironically they grouped with me on the excuse that they were still learning the commands since they recently came back. So their idioticy allowed me to resolve this issue.
