4.0 will be the stormblood patch, and 3.56 is the leading up to that. 3.57 is most likely a lockout temoval patch as mentioned.

This just mentions there are 2 patches, nothing about 3.57 leading into stormblood, other than it beimg the final patch. it wont have story if thats what you think that means.

Pretty sure 3.56 will be the story leading into Stormblood. 3.57 will just be the final changes to the end-game content before June.

Right the big changes will be in 3.56.

What exactly is supposed to be in this patch? This isn't the patch where they'll probably remove caps on things and eliminate lore in favor of making it all cost scriptures (assuming they're doing that again), is it?

Yeah guess my bad, looking back at 2.57 it just adds echo etc.

Conclusion for the Heavensward Storyline
Scripture cap increased to 900
Savage loot unlocked
Sophia and possibly Proto-type Alexandrian gear allowed to be turned in
A trial of some sort similar to Final Steps but nowhere near as hard/frustrating

Pretty much that if they keep the old ARR to HW routine. After that we will have a "hotfix" or "filler" patch (reduction of tomes needed for specific gear via vendor, for people to catch up), with the story going towards the new expansion, to a point were you don't want to wait for the early access anymore and want it to be released yesterday. Plenty of live letters in between, showing you what you can't play yet and you're getting even more annoyed lol. Please look forward to it.
