It is not the pc interface but the controller setup, the image shown above are the controller settings.

But, let it be just an hint on where I have to look for settings, and I had of course: the settings let me setup the hotbars I want be shared across all jobs (that means, if a hotbar is shared, it will not change when I change job), and which ones I want show on the screen.

Summary:
- I don't use controller. I use keyboard/mouse.
- even if I share none of the hotbars, each job have only one and one only hotbars setup
- what I'd like to have, is have different setups for same job, this does not exists today
- I'd like have that because PVP is a completely different use of things than PVE, for the same job you have
- when you change class/job, you are presented a fresh state of the not shared hotbars, that you will setup for the class you are playing: well, I meant the same thing happens if I enter PVP
- what I want, right now can be done only with macros

Then scroll down. You can have these settings just for pvp, that is exactly what you want. Edit: lol its really only for gamepads, but pc users can really set up macros fast so its np anyway...you just ask for some more convenience

I have to many shared hotbars between the classes and still use /hotbar /chotbar copy or /chotbar action name x y macros though.

I would just create your PvE hotbars and put them on like hotbar 3 and 4 , then you create your pvp hotbars on 5 and 6, then you create a /hotbar copy makro like

PvE Mode
/hotbar copy warrior 3 current 1
/hotbar copy warrior 4 current 2

PvP Mode
/hotbar copy warrior 5 current 1
/hotbar copy warrior 6 current 2

in the setting you hide hotbars 3-6 then you still have 7,8,9 and 10 for additional stuff. I think that should be enough or? Even if you need 3 hotbars for each mode you sitll have 2 hotbars left.

I didn't know that the PVP settings were pad-only. Keyboard users should get something similar, or be able to remap button bindings when they switch between different HUD configurations (I presume they can't).

I'm using all of my hotbars so assigning dedicated PvP bars is not an option for me personally, so I understand the sentiment and wanted something similar for a long time..... not that I PvP or even FF very actively at the moment, but still.

What he said. It's there, but its awkward as hell to use. Basically, you have hotbars 1-10, for every single job AND base class from marauder to astrologian (plus shared). Unless you regularly run as pugilist and lancer, you arent using all of them. You can assign things to those hotbars you arent using, and use the "/hotbar copy" macro command to switch between your ghetto-grade "presets". Works, but its a silly, non-intuitive, workaround and should have gotten a QOL upgrade by now

Never tried that pvp hotbar setting since I only have one skill set

So wanna ask, can pvp hotbar setting restore the cross class skills?
