Ah, but here's the problem. SE wants to simplify DPS rotations... which might imply that we actually have things cut down a bit rather than further filling our already very full hotbars. Now tanks and healers are not DPS, of course, but they have said they want to focus on balancing them too. So, what exactly does that mean?
It's not impossible that we won't get 5 new abilities like last expac... but I'm not holding my breath for it. Unfortunately, we probably just won't know the answer to that question for another 2 months. But my expectation from all the different comments and hints is 'changes' more than 'new stuff'.
Finally, you're right. And the person above me is right. We have 2 super iconic jobs that could pull in people from all sorts of other jobs. While some would undoubtedly have mained DPS already, so no loss... Jobs this iconic will definitely pull in at least a few tank and healer players. How much we feel that... that also remains to be seen.
