Can we have a message board

There's one issue & I know it seems absolutely trivial but I guarantee that there'd be a HUGE outcry by certain parts of the community. That issue is longevity. If they move houses they'll want to keep the existing comments. Worse still, they'll want them to be permanently stored & should the game last for, say ten years (!) that could be an immense amount of data that really has zero use but has to be maintained & kept error free.

Yes I am. I don't know if you read my post wrong or are just taking things to the extreme because I certainly didn't mention anything even remotely related to what you just posted. As for maintenance, come here or on Reddit after maintenance & watch the complaints that rise EVERY time because people don't like the downtime. People complain about everything.

Okey then, here's some common sense

Text content occupy the least space, even a webpage online game built 10year ago has massage board for houses(yeah I did play such a game

And since I do know a little bit programming, I'm going to tell you message board system is one of the most basic practice for beginning programmer which means, it's extremely easy
Longevity? Space? Let's say they ll store all massages in all data centers in one server for 50years, the space that take is much less than a trail update.

And if space was REALLY a problem, they could do it like the history on the Market Board; only so many entries can be displayed, and then the old ones are overwritten to make room for the new.

To prevent trolls from filling up the book with junk entries, you make it so that a player can only enter one message per set period (24+ hours), and players on the owner's blacklist can't post.

You stop gil spammed by setting requirements to post--say, maybe the same requirements as to own a home (level and GC rank).

I don't think it's worth me continuing to respond as you don't appear to understand how the system works. It's not a simple HTML page, nor is it a collection of text stored in an ASCII file. It is a set of dynamic databases that have to be constantly available to all users at all times with minimal latency. The reason we can't have many things is due to how data is transferred between the servers & client (amount, frequency etc), a housing log is one of those. Unless, of course, you'd like to give up something in compromise.

What you're concerning about is not the point
You pay, play the game, give some suggestions that's all that was what I tried to tell you when I said"are you thinking about this seriously" at the 1st time I replied

I'm not the type of person who love to think about how chefs make the plate and stop ordering the plate if I THINK that may cause extra work for them
I'll pay, give me the plate idc how they make it

They announced a company message board years ago with housing but it never came about.

I would love it!! I have been waiting to commendate my neighbor on his decorating and how it matches mine perfectly for a long time, but I never seen to find them online. I think we play at diferent timezones ( because their garden is updated frequently so he is not taking a break ). If the coding takes too much resorces, then how about we use the moogle letterbox system or something similar? The only difference is that you would be able to send the letter to someone not on your friendlist ( blacklisted banned of course ) and problably not be able to send any itens.
