Australia deserves better latency

Use a tunneling service that will re-route your connection. WtFast, Pingzapper- programs like these. It won't help you if you're on console, but it's something to consider if you're playing on PC. As much as it sucks, I doubt there's a large enough population of AUS players that would warrant setting up an entire new server just for you (which might not even help).

I don't want an Oceanic server. Access to the JP data center and it's level of competency is worth the added latency imo.

Nothing worse than seeing an all E party in duty finder.

Im australian n don't even think we need an Australian 1... would be a ghost server lol

How many pings you're getting in Australia?

When I was in Singapore, I got around 200ms (playing on a NA data center).

I'm going to visit my mom in Australia soon and I'm gonna play a little from there.

I don't think they need to setup an AU data center though. Just add a new server to the JP data center and make it an Eastern English data center. It's not only for AU and NZ, people from HK, SG, and other East Asian countries might need it.

I'm in regional Aus and its around 450-500, and nothing short of selling up and moving will ever change that. Some have said they get 350-400 from around Sydney.
I've yet to hear what sort numbers people are getting on Tonberry from different regions in Aus.

Wow... it's that bad? Is it something wrong with the internet there or the route to Canada that is the problem? I mean Singapore is even further from the NA server than AU and I got 200ms. Even when I went to Thailand, I got 260ms.

My ping to the server is usually about 500ms+, thus my desire for Australian server/s.

They should move Tonberry and the other servers in that group to Australia (hey, I can dream!)

I'm building an army of Kangaroos to come and force the issue.

Better throw in a few drop bears and some native snakes, spiders, lizards, etc. - just for that extra bit of persuasion :)
