And this issue commonly happens like EVERY patch too it seems x.x

The 2 most populated servers in the game are on the same datacenter. I'm not surprised there are issues.

The game hasnt had downtime in weeks, major patch, crap happens.

Agreed.

In fairness, I'm not sure the dev team (or anyone directly involved with FFXIV) is to blame. This reeks of corporate pinching pennies and forcing sub-standard equipment on everyone. Hard to say either way, but it's ridiculous to take 24 hours for a patch / maintenance and then have so many problems crop up.

There is only so much bug testing they can do without actually putting stretch on the serves. That only comes with allowing people to populate them again and adjust accordingly.

Sorry I have expectations that a service I pay for wont Trump the bed repeatedly. Its like they either refuse to learn from past mistakes, or do not invest properly in their testing process and you the consumer gets to pay for it.

I have no idea whats wrong with people that defend garbage service from am unfeeling bottom dollar corporation. Get your head checked and let the rest of us hold them accountable as consumers should.
