Grand company promotions

It still has not changed, I just got my squadron a couple of days ago and the Npc still says he has nothing for me when I ask to promote.
Stumbled on this thread asking Google for help.

To get the rank before Captain you need to train your squadron until you get a specific flagged quest in your squadron area (there'll be a '!' per the guys head that you interact with to send your squad out) the flagged mission is strict that you must meet all of the criteria or else your squad will outright fail the mission. If you do not see this quest then keep completing missions.

As arduous as it might seem just go down the list completing squadron missions until you get a new tab. Do the same for that new tab and eventually the flagged quest comes up either during that second tab of quests or sometime when doing quests via the third tab. When I did it I remember it taking some time before the promotion quest showed up.

To get the new rank of Captain you need to first get First Luetinent by doing the above task. Then you need to complete 5 dungeon runs with your squadron and another flagged mission will show up (under missions, not dungeons) Completing that one give you new rank.

Though the reward is pretty lame. No apparent new rewards other than an additional 10000 cap on your company currency

For first Lieutenant and Captain the NPC at the counter still doesn't promote you or know about the promotion. The promotions for first Lieutenant and Captain happen inside the barracks after your squad completes the flagged mission and you talk to the Sargent.

I wish they made the promotion criteria more clear. Like talking to the GC guy he's like no more promotions are available. Maybe instead he could give you a hint on what you need to do. It's just weird that his dialogue about promotions is misleading once you reach an officer rank.

I'm fine with how you actually earn the last couple promotions, but for the GC Personnel Officer to outright tell you there are no further ranks available once you reach 2nd Lt is just outright wrong. And it's been way too long that they haven't fixed it. The personnel officer should tell lieutenants that they need to lead a squadron in order to get any more promotions, and direct them to talk to their sergeant about it.
