The lack of actual playable content in 1.20 is a bummer. :( Discussion!

If the achievement system is well implemented -fingers crossed- then hunting achievements will be quite fun and a lot of "content"

Agree. Completely with this post.

Some ideas of what could be implemented for a timesink which in my opinion seem pretty reasonable.

-Implement XP Chain to make Craft/Gathering a faster and more enjoyable experience, encouraging players to max other jobs they may not have done previously.
-Make Job's level like normal, not abilities through Questing. Its not hard to reach 1-50 and it would certainly give players a bigger sense of achievement.
-Implement a PvE Arena where players progress through a stage like system (MASSIVE Timesink)
-Implement NM's that drop socketable Gear
-Gambling System (both gilsink and timesink)
-Chocobo Racing similar to FFX (May be difficult to implement with server in current state)
-Implement a Triple Triad similar game

Morale seems to be getting kind of low lately. Theres been no screenshots of the new re-design's for the zones. How about a couple of snipets to keep people focused on whats to come.

i sure hope they add more than instances & primal boss fights every patch, same thing different look.

45+ instance so far = run past all mobs to gates then fight boss. lv25 instance just go in as level lv50.

primal fight = bum rush with mrd's and/or lnc's then win. wear (elemental earings)

Most of the Stuff you mentioned are about to come. Was either confirmed or mentioned on the Roadmap. Even a consideration of a Game similiar to "Triple Triad" was mentioned in the Newsletter. So Patience is all you need for the Stuff you listed. I dont see a need of XP-Chains for DoH/DoL tho.

I'm not trolling man, but... Are you sure? I'm having always something to do when I enter Eorzea, and even if I don't, I just create events among players.
Here's a trick: We're waiting for more content that they've planned for the future, rite? Then if you ever get bored without anything to do, create content by yourself. Start a fishing contest, a racing challenge,... Anything that might bring you fun!

And stop looking at lootz for a second. It's just something that limits your fun!

Once again, just because you personally don't want to do the content in the game, doesn't mean the content is not there. That is YOUR fault. An old saying, "if you are bored, it is because you are boring."

Like other people have said, you have less than half the achievements, go do some content if you want something to do! I recommend coffer hunting in Shposhae, it is THE most fun thing to do in this game right now imo, especially if you bring a lv. 25-ish class and a couple buddies.


You can whine all you want that there is no content YOU personally want to do, but don't say there is no content in the game. Its an outright lie.

You guys need to stop complaining about the lack of content in patches and complain more about the subscription fee. Trust me you don't want them shifting focus from 2.0 to patches that will become meaningless in a year.
