Attach Glamours to Job Crystals

Idk, I just remember them saying at some point that for some reason a system like that wasn't possible.

Maybe we'll get surprised though. Pls surprise us devs. ;.; The glamour system could seriously use a rework like this, especially if you're going to keep putting out "relic"/job-specific armor.

I'd be happy of they just let us toggle to to relics vs. 1-3 as an option from the crystal. I just hate my Paladin and Dark Knight looking all mixmatch just so my war can be in Seafog Blue War Af glory :P

You shoulda seen my SCH/WHM glamour last raid tier. I mained AST and LOOOOVE the AST job gear, so I used it, but whenever I swapped jobs my other healers' glamours looked like an anorexic version of the Michelin man.

Honestly, I don't think trying to suggest compromises is really gonna help us much. xD I feel like it's better to push for the best and then if SE decides they can't quite reach it (for whatever reason...), then that's on them.

This is the way Transmogrification works in WoW now. You attach the look to the Specialisation. I guess if the FFXIV devs had a squizz at WoW, they might be able to work out roughly how they accomplished it.

Yes, however there is the other side of Transmogrification. It's highly restrictive, far more than XIV. Why it was easier to implement in WoW late in its game cycle.

However, WoW regardless of player demand will not introduce dye options to gear. As it would require a complete overhaul of their item system.

I would like to see this happen. But if it is as resource intensive as they claim, I can understand why they can't.

Yes please, when I glamour all my DRK gear to be edgelord and epeen black, I don't want my PLD to also be edgelord and epeen black

Gearsets also know what color an item is dyed, might be an avenue as well.

They didn't say it was impossible. They said that it would require a massive amount of work cause they would either have to rebuild the existing system from the ground up or build an entirely new system from scratch. In either case it would be a lot o staff working on it for a pretty long time.

In programming, particularly with programs as big and complicated as a MMO, even seemingly small things can require a huge amount of work, not just to make, but to QA and iterate before they get to a product stable and high quality enough to release.
