I don't think there's anything wrong with sex appeal - I know a lot of men and women alike who enjoy dressing their characters in revealing attire. I do think some of that attire can be rather...tacky though.

A variety of options is ideal - and this goes for men, too. FFXV has Gladio who is basically a 'walking shirtless scene' so it's not exactly as if it's a new thing for the franchise.

The game logs are available to the devs. They can watch and track everything you do in the game and this is good. They can pull whatever statistics they like out of the logs. This helps them to see what people do and what people want and what is successful and what is not in game.

I'm glad you said that, and I agree with you, despite the fact that I'm notorious for never wearing pants for the exact opposite reason. I do love my short skirts, but mid-length would be absolutely great with some armors/glamours!

Which means they had a 2 month break, not 6 lol. content development was still likely the same time period, they just took a vacation.

I think they are most likely just looking at the avatar and assuming that the gender ingame = gender in real life.
