Use magics to go on the offense? Check.
Use magics as to act as the CDs/support? Possible!
Use a rapier? Hey, two/thirds of the tanks are already using swords, why not add another? At least this one is piercing!
The mix of magic types is what primarily defines the red mage, so I'm not sure how that would be "no longer a RDM" if it started using those magics to grab aggro.

Reminds me when I played Tree of Savior. Fencer was a tank, a dodge tank with some mitigation. If things are getting reworked in 4.0, I can see it as a parry and riposte, magic buffed, evasion tank for sure.Quote:
