Seems that way, but FFIII was the first FF with an interchangeable job system. So I can see why they would pull from it.

I dont mind too much, WHM get some nifty stuff, I still find it stupid.
WHM wont have the INT so the elementals are pretty useless and most WHM wont be asked to main nuke or nuke at all, so they be weak, useless, pointless, why not give it to the dedicated class.
Personally think they should add water to CNJ. Lots of games has water as some kind of healing or aid to healing.
I don't see Scourge and Banish anywhere. That's a little disappointing.
Yea, you are also forgetting that CON will also have a unique ability that will increase their magic att by 20% while reducing their healing ability by the same amount. So even if their INT isn't as high as THM they can still make up for it with that ability as well as possibly traits that could increase said elements potency.

I doubt it, considering CNJ can't even put INT materia into their weapons.

^^^ You can put Magic Attack Potency on 2-H cnj staves which is more of a boost than INT is. You still have the head slot too. Also like was brought up, the cnj magic attack stance (although I'm guessing that might be restricted when you're on WHM). It even says in the ability list that WHM itself has a high-damage aoe around itself but it uses all your remaining MP.
