Why do people beg for cash shop stuff?

Except the real work you have to do to get the real money.

What's really worrying is that SE apparently is prone to make things so unenjoyable to obtain, that people have built up expectations which makes them a priori prefer spending real cash over doing what they fear SE would have them do otherwise.

I don't have any real issues with the cash shop. As long as it stays glamours and previous event items, that doesn't bother me.

I know a lot of people are displeased over the Chinese and Korean outfits not being added in game, but the Chinese and Korean players had to actually pay for them as well. So it wouldn't have been fair to just import them into the game for the rest of us essentially for free. Kind of like since NA and (some) EU players had to buy stuff from Amazon/a magazine for the maid outfit summer promotion. I think many would be mad if they just handed those items out to Chinese or Korean players in game for free/with no hoops to jump through.

I really would like to see more glamour items made into crafting recipes. Crafting my own gear is nice, don't get me wrong. But I would love to be able to craft more glamour items. That's why I started crafting in the first place. ;p I really wanted to make myself the Thavinarian set. X3 And I don't mind working for my glamours. Glamour is true endgame, after all.

I don't mind the past event items being added. I know others want them to stay exclusive, but I only started playing a year ago, and I missed the Halloween event by two weeks. So I was happy to be able to buy the broom mount from the Mogstation. My alt wasn't around for Little Ladies' Day event this year, but I'd love to buy the top from the event for her so I can give her my pajama glamour that my main has. ;p Since I can't buy another one from the Calamity Salvager and have a friend trade it to her. :c

I wish that people would stop asking for everything to be added to the cash shop though. It's quite annoying seeing all the threads pop up about it. It's not that hard to do events for the items offered (well, except for maybe Yokai). The Halloween event this year...I literally did the dungeon thingy four times and had the minion, both orchestrion rolls, and fireworks/pumpkin stew. Took me about an hour.

You can Level1-60 in 1 week, then have a full set of ilv230-260 very easily

The game is also a subscription based game. Too many cash shop exclusives will drive away a big portion of the player base. Have it in both and everybody is happy.

SO what DO you want to do, just sit in a random zone, with you alt tab to cash shop, and just buy all day?

Some of you just don't understand what Yoshida really wants.
& don't understand why he go this way, let me tell you...:

1.You don't need to work for anything, everything is fast & easy in this game.
2.But SE needs money, & I like the nice looking cash shop outfits.
3.You are just wasting your time if you try to work for anything in this game:Gears reset every 3-6months, Relic quests are just recycle contents. >ilv230 is useless if you don't raid. or you want to build relationship with randoms in DF?
4.People asked for classic MMO stuff, did Yoshi responded? No
5.People asked for cash shop items, did Yoshi responded? Yes & fast & always

maybe this is not the game for you?

In general its either

1. Laziness: Self-explanatory, especially if the item is already in game and not time gated. This also ties into playing alt characters.
2. A belief that the extra money would help support the game: A rather naive belief caused by the funding of the European servers and the large Budget Storm has in comparison to Heavensward. And I say "naive" because there are other factors at play.
3. They just want more stuff to whale: Put simply the CS and Merch stuff are status symbols.
4. Because they think that it is the only way to get SE to implement the items in the game at all: This needs an explanation the most. There are somethings People want to have but don't know are even in the cards, and they think paying through the nose would motivate them to put it in the game, as well as a belief that there is no way to get the non-event stuff (Sleipnir, The Fat Moogle mount, Bennu, The custom Reapers, NPC costumes, The 2.X Scion Mammots apart form Minfillia and Thancred, and the Chinese and Korean outfits, minions, mounts and bardings) because as far as they know they were mostly created exclusively for the cash shop.

In more specific cases. SE has set a pattern about exclusively selling NPC cosplay gear, Specifically those regarding the MSQ, which includes Yugiri. The Chinese and Korean stuff are under a similar precedent, being in the respective countries cash shops first to fleece money out of them because subbing in these regions is on an hourly basis, rather than the monthly basis the "main" servers use.

What this means that while it is technicality possible to include these items in game. The Cosplay Gear for characters not named Hildibrand have never been available in game to begin with. The same applies for the Chinese and Korean items, but is more solidified by the possibility that allowing players to get these items in game without paying a single dime beyond subbing would be a sign of favoritism over the original audiences, which would be bad for business in the Non-Japanese asian markets, this on top of potential licensing and copyright red tape they must get past before they have the ability to sell the items outside the initial region. (The short version is that SE likes consistently to a fault and hates to potentiality anger their audiences/business partners)
