You don't need to be extremely skilled to get the rewards no. Knowledge in pvp. To get the most rewards you just need to be in the top 100 of the ranking (which will probably count for the mount as well). If you want to understand how Ranking in the feast works...Quote:

For every loss you lose Ranking, lost ranking at bronze isn't very much it does increase as your overall Tier increases though.
For example right now i'm Plat tier I can lose around 25->30 Ranking in a match and only gain like 19->25 Ranking depending on the match-ups.
As a Bronze you would lose like 5-15 or something (cant remember at the top of my head but it isn't very much)
To get on the top 100 right now in Primal Data Center you would need around 860 Ranking Min, which isn't that hard if the ques are active and you are familiar with how PVP and the feast works.
IMO I would recommend 1 v 1 Duels for a while in order to get used to PVP skills (which are super important in The Feast and any PVP mode) and then practice in 8 v 8 or in 4 v 4 itself.
It's a good idea to read the rules of the mode before hand and maybe watch a few videos to understand the flow of a match (just like how you would watch a PVE video, they really help).
After that its just practice, practice, practice.

The Red Fenrir could very well be a Top 10 Reward still.. we wont know until Season 3 of the feast (or the patch notes) come out.
It could go something like this..
Top 100 Reward (Hellhound Mount)
Top 10 Reward (Hellhound Mount + Red Fenrir Mount) (Makes sense since the theme of the feast is Claws vs Fangs "The Wolves Den")
and First Place Reward (Hellhound+ R.Fenrir + Trophy) -

Did they ever do something about those boosters a few months back? Last I heard they got the reward for that season anyways with no repercussion in terms of GM involvement.

I hope they do not put the red fenrir as a top 10 reward. Maybe I can see a barding or additional accessory / minor gear. Just to be in the top 100 is not easy especially if we have to complete with alts.
