wouldn't be the first time they changed the name of stuff in game.... its already a upgraded dyed item the only diffrence is it will now say (omgihaveextastatred)

so the crafters are back to making one of every color to put in wards again? this was bad system too, am i missing something? why don't they make it the players after they buy the gear ...allow them to buy the dye and take it to a vendor to do it. why keep making it so complicated, it's a dye system not brain surgery. this is a basic thing in other mmo's and they just keep failing at it every time.

Weeble this system allowed you to dye the undyed version after it is made.

It's unclear if anyone can dye an item at this stage or whether a crafter of the appropriate level is needed., knowing SE the later :(

I would think from a sales standpoint selling undyed items will be more lucrative now as the player buying can customise the colour afterwards.

right that is what i'm saying, it looks like crafters will go back to making like 10pieces of gear all different colors to put up in wards, or we start to make undyed and take shouts for people who want them died but again it's a broken system. just let the non crafters dye them after they buy them, not the other way around, it just seems like way more work and maybe even a ploy for players to buy way more retainers for bazar space later on. it's the only reason i can see why the idiots at se would make it this way again.

Well I guess if it does turn out that only crafters can dye an item then we need to petition to change it so either anyone can dye an item or an NPC is added to the game to do it.

It's really too bad there isn't a button to summon a community dev when you need one :P

mmos that are not ffxi= gear race. get used to it.

I hope that since color =/= stat now, they will make it so that dyeing the gear does not destroy any attached materia.. that would be tragic.
