while shadewalker/smokescreen have good tactical use - the bottom line is ninja isn't a support job. They are skills much better suited to other support jobs, or to the main beneficiaries to use at a time of their own choosing. Goad is in this vein as well. (it was even more ridiculous when you couldn't see others TP anyway)
wasp/viper can just be replaced with a level trait. sneak/trick can just be a single non-directional. I'd prefer to see gust slash culled as well - yes, a two-button combo !!
This is in the spirit of reducing the overall complexity and button bloat- if they are are adding even more skills in for 60-70, this seriously needs addressing. I quite understand people not wanting only 5-6 buttons to press - but when it's 30+ and growing, we're getting ridiculous.

I would love to see positional requirements axed completely, but i know that will never happen. It would be nice to be able to use trick attack from any direction though.

Furima Shuriken is not usless and shouldn't deal less dps then Katon on a single target.
The only really useless skill for me is doton since it is useless in terms of dmg since it is only worth to use if it ticks for the whole duration and if you have a lot of mobs. Otherwise katon and coin toss aka. deathblossom are way more effective.
XiXiQ Nin is not a support job? Then why the hell do we have goad and trick attack? These 2 kills support as well. But yeah if you don't raid all of that seems pretty useless to you... -

Hyoton:
Back when T7 was relevant, and we had no BRD or SMN, I was asked to kite the Renauds as NIN. Throwing Dagger grabbed their attention, while Hyoton locked them in place for Voice. The unfortunate thing was, if this happens around the time I Huton is dropping, I had to eat the 20 second wait after Hyoton, or use Kassatsu to get Huton... Yeah, dps loss. I think Hyoton should give a Weight effect instead.
Sneak Attack:
Useful when solo, but I'm usually always in a group. Only solo thing I would do is Beast Tribe quests, but even then, one or two regular attacks kill the mobs. If Sneak Attack was it's own ability and didn't share time with Trick Attack AND didn't require Hide or Suiton, I'll use it often. As of current date, Sneak Attack is NOT on my battle bars.
Hide:
Should be able to use it if I'm behind the enemy since, you know, he don't see me back there anyway. Activating Hide COULD allow Sneak Attack to be more potent from the Front as it currently is. Or, give Hide + Sneak Attack that Trick Attack effect from FFXI, when it make the mob think a certain party member hit him that hard. If I'm behind the MT, and I have Hide up, hitting the mob with Sneak Attack will generate a level of aggro to the MT.
Shukuchi:
I drop a smoke bomb to teleport to another location. However, there is an invisible line between where I drop the bomb and where I land. Testing it to be 100% sure, I was still hit by many mob's line attack, such as the DRG mob in Sophia, and Landslide in Titan. But then again, I guess it's not like I'm disappearing from A to B, but more like moving quickly from A to B. Oh well!

Plunge:
Dark Arts + Plunge = Dot
Sole Survivor:
If my HP is under a certain percentage, I could use this to generate HP over time as long as that enemy is constantly getting hit. So, My HP is down to 2k, I hit a mob with Sole Survivor, each time that mob is hit, I get some HP back. If the timer is still active on the mob, and my recovered HP reaches a certain point from Sole Survivor only (not from potions or Cure), then the mob takes damage equivalent to the time remaining on Sole Survivor.
Living Dead:
The ONLY reason I like PLD over DRK is because of Hallowed Ground. I think Living Dead shouldn't give me Walking Dead status, but instead, Living Dead consume ALL my MP to NOT give me the Walking Dead status. -

I just want to see the mudra lose the whole "if you try to do anything else you're SoL" thing, I feel like Ninja would feel ALOT more fluid if we could still fight and do things without having to stop basically everything you're doing. Do your Mudra. Cast it. then start again
