Letting the seeds hatch into tiny Morbols nets you loads of bonus XP as well :).

The problem is that it is one of the longest and to be honest most boring dungeons while leveling and with the second most possibilities to screw up (nr one spot goes to pre-nerf Qarn). This is especially true if playing without a good AoE class.

You know I suppose since this thread is about the AV gate. I think It is appropriate to ask here. I'm considering switching to Maelstrom for several reasons as soon as I get the First Lieutenant rank in the Immortal Flames, and I want to know If I'm still able to access the apartment I bought at the while starting form the Bottom of the Barrel again?

Maybe I got the same tank 3 times over two days, or maybe a couple, as I play non-peak times .. three times the tank abandoned the moment we formed, the other two actually started but the tank dropped both times before the first boss.

Anyhow, I got into a group who were on the first trash area and had lost their healer and a DPS, and completed it without much drama.. at the end I asked the tank about my experience and he said it didn't bother him but he knew several tanks in his FC and elsewhere who simply don't feel the need to deal with the drama AV causes, such as the two who left which myself and another DPS filled.

Appreciate the offer, I didn't know about unsynced until I read this thread.

From what I've gathered from my experience and my friends... we all dislike the 1.0 dungeons (Toto, Cutters and AV). AV just isn't pleasant to tank at 49.

Don't see why not, you already bought it. I think the rank requirement is just for purchase.

Eww... They really should just give more exp for destroying them since that's what they were trying to get players to do. I have been in way too many parties in AV who completely ignore destroying the pods at the final boss and causing the party to wipe because of it. No thanks! Totes, no thanks!

But, it really wouldn't be AV without monsters swarming players to death just for trying to do full-clears or speed-running through it, now would it? AV hard has to troll and be mean about it or it's just not AV at all. XD

I think the reason you are having a lot of trouble is that there is no 5-man content in the game. It's quite difficult to complete something that isn't there!

It's a rather ridiculous amount as well if I remember right, like 5 times the xp you get from other enemies in there. Well worth doing if you're leveling.

The AV issue being discussed here is a great example of how watered down MMO playerbases have become. THis dungeon is not difficult at all, and has some of the best exp of any sub 50 dungeon. Let those Molboro eggs hatch before killing them - good exp.
