I doubt it would make it better. Comedy is already hit or miss in general, though this can be alleviated somewhat by throwing a million different jokes and hoping some stick. With a voice however, that voice is going to be their voice through the whole thing. So if the voice they pick to try and be comedic turns out to be cringeworthy or annoying for you, it'll likely ruin the rest of the experience. Worst yet, unlike unvoiced where you can substitute your own impression, after hearing the official voice for the character it can be a little hard to just unhear it and pretend they sound completely different.
