A plea from a MNK to SQX

wow dude, removing all the positionals is the dumbest thing ever. It will make MNK into the simplest and most braindead class in the game. Hell, the friggin UI even spells out your combos for you, what more do you want?
Even with positionals I argue MNK is already one of the easier classes.

Seriously most people are complaining this game is too boring because it feels the same every patch and you are asking for DPS rotations (which are arguably one of the most important aspects of the game) to remain the same in 4.0 XD?
I like my current MNK rotation but I would be more than happy to welcome a new one in 4.0.

I completely disagree. Positionals are probably one of the easiest parts of this class, to be honest. After playing for a day or two, the positional requirements become muscle-memory and fairly simple to execute. As for the mobile tank issue, this usually only happens with terrible tanks that haven't played long enough, or haven't learned what other classes have to deal with. Also, I would argue that MNK is probably one of the least complex classes in execution when compared to others.

While I agree with the welcoming of a new rotation, I'm primarily nervous of MNK being "dumbed-down" to the point where it's a less interactive class. I enjoy, and have enjoyed playing Monk; I don't want to play lvl 50 PLD...

Excuuuse you, if you're not dancing in circles around the enemy as ALL the melee classes you're doing it wrong, nothing's more fun than being a ballerina while you fight

Hopefully they fix Black Mage because it is an absolute nightmare to play in raid content. Usually when I see a party finder recruiting for a static on my server they are looking for a black mage because NOBODY wants to go into raid content as one.

Yeah I agree, BLMs have way too much baggage right now in terms of strat catering requirements and special support to shine.

I'm honestly surprised Surecast didn't give BLMs the ability to cast spells while moving for x seconds... This is what I thought it would be.

Yup, but it's not only that for me. I am of the opinion that Summoner is a superior DPS in almost EVERY way. It has better raid utility, (You can raise people in battle!) WAY better mobility, and better AOE. BLM has better burst. That's about it. I really can't understand why someone would want to take a BLM over a Summoner in a raid. That's why I think SE needs to completely change the class come 4.0. If any of the Black Mages want to tell me if I'm missing anything please let me know.

BLM's, when allowed to stand there, are the highest DPS. Albeit, this is a rare opportunity.
