In a way Yoshi-P did some of it because his suggestions will have gone into it, all the UI designers do is make it, then give the pic to Yoshi-P who approves it or says what needs changing.
what ui???
I was not discounting Yoshi-P's contribution. But what really has me so excited about the future of the game is that it isn't just Yoshi-P. They have assembled what amounts to a game dev super team. I love the new UI, I love the new producer, I love the new team, I love the new world, and I love the new vision!
