What if I don't WANT skills on my bar?

Besides, You will probably end up just using macros for all the skills/combos you want anyway. . . so you probably wont even be looking at the action bar much.

And what of the day when the level cap is increased and we suddenly have more class abilities and more cross-class abilities?

There are some really great finger exercises you can do to "tone" them so you don't accidentally hit the wrong button. Then you won't need so many blank spaces between them.

Unless you use only 2-4 skills ever in your game career it's almost impossible to be "cluttered with junk you never use" as you never equip those in the first place, however when they trim down the skills and rebalance it, you can't really think in terms of pre-update, i.e right now because they're rebalancing it and reducing/changing the skill setup as well as adding traits.

So..... you're complaining about the fact that you have 3 skill bars that you can swap your skills around make empty slots by moving around skills while you can only see one bar. I don't know how you're going to have cluttered bars exactly.

Allow us to remove skills from our bar, but leave the cost of the skill or something.

I don't enjoy a cluttered bar and I remove anything I don't need for situations, please let us do this.

This is just speculation of course, but with the streamlining of skills, the usefulness will increase as they might change what each skill does, thinking how they will add combos. The information released aludes to new skills being introduced for each class too and since you can move them around, a blank slot is just the same as a skill you plan not to use much, if at all.

Says who? You? There are a ton of skills on my main I never use and don't see a reason to use in the future. try and justify it any way you want the point remains: Its a stupid choice.

Of those tons of skills you have now, only 15 will remain, add to that the fact their effects might be altered to accomodate combos, so you might as well be using them all in the future.

This 15 may not cease to exist due to new Action skills each class is going to have.

They should bring back menus *pause for outrage and cries of 'this is not ffxi-2'*

No seriously... Give us a menu that fills with our class abilities and allow us to populate it with cross class abilities, then allow us to drag those abilities into the action bar.

The menus should be accessible during combat so we can still use abilities that aren't in our action bar and furthermore we should be able to place macros directly in the action bar as well.

My bigger concern is going to be the nature of DoM with the severely limited 15 actions per class.
