Funny thing is, in the original the frog is simply slammed into the wall.

More annoying for me personally, and upsets my inner OCD, is that it can sometime be dispelled and sometimes not. In Amdapor HM you can remove it by running into the correct circled on the second boss, and in WC it can be avoided on Forgall by not messing up to begin with. But in Antitower you just sit there toaded forever until your teammates decide to kill the two adds - made even more fun when paired in DF with an ice mage
I like this idea, another example could be to psych someone up for a weathered or fear like effect, or slap someone if they get charmed. So much potential.
It's certainly interesting. One problem I see though is that you'd either have emotes taking up space on your screen or have to type it out each time.

I love those types of mechanics. (^_^ ) I still come across people who haven't heard of the "Misery"-debuff before, so i'll use it during combat and explain how it works.
I did, but /blowkiss doesn't work. (^_^ )
Altough, i do still use it whenever i see someone who's been turned into a toad within the Palace of the Dead, just for the fun of it. Sometimes you'll get a surprised response like "o_O?" and a few seconds later they revert back to normal. Then i'll simply reply "See? It worked, didn't it? (^_~ )" or when they say that it didn't work /ask if it works, i'll reply with "yeah, but with a delayed respose.".
It would be fun if that worked, but I think it would unbalance a few things if it became curable that easily.
By the way, Misery can also be cured with /rally iirc.
