Solo Feast Ranking explained!

The salt is real with RNG, funny there are games I end up loosing and the other team have a unranked healer or a bronze healer and im thinking my team have a gold this and a gold that, we should win easily, until we get stomp. And yes I am a career silver, aint nothing wrong with that.

The matchmaking, with all its deficiencies, still at least evens out the ratings on both teams, so either you had a super high ranked player or they had similarly ranked players. You won't get a situation where 4 platinum players get matched against 4 unranked players, it simply isn't possible. Now, it is entirely possible that the players skill weren't reflected by their ratings because they're late comers or don't play much and that's when matches are unbalanced. I think we all agree that's the reason why they should have kept unranked and bronze players away from gold matches. SE might have figured this was a lesser evil than long queues due to small player pool side.

Was just a quick rant on getting queued 4 times in a row having 2min matches with that person on my team because they can't heal.

Also, the new rating system is to somehow help on bad MM until you get Gold. I expect even more changes for next season.

Well we were 1 Platinum 1 silver and 2 newcomers, so that Platinum must have had a silly high rating as you say.

MM this season sucks. We all know it.

With that said, people need to stop complaining about getting low ranked and just deal with it, try to carry their asses, and move on. Don't waste time bitching. Advice is fine, but raging only makes you play worse as well as distract your team.

Games with new players are a mess, but definitely winnable. I've won just as many (or more) matches with brand new healers as I've lost with them. They'll die a lot, but the enemy team won't get a win by killing healer 1000 times. Just play smart, stay by your side of the map, and hope that that new healer can at least keep you semi-alive while you kill someone.

To everyone complaining about getting bad healers:
Good healers have to deal with (most of the time) stronger dps on the other team. There's not really a 1 role is best to carry on. Play what you want and you will climb if you deserve it. Yes match making sucks but you don't see any of the top players complaining.

Yeah but if you get a kill and manage somehow to babysit your team enough to get no deaths, you still win easier than being a DPS dying over and over because of a bad healer. Not saying its wonderful to be a good healer on solo queue, its just a bit easier to gain ranking as one.

I can believe the first part, however the part about the other team having a platinum and straight gold players isn't.

This made me giggle lol. 9 out of 10 matches get thrown into culling time, or double culling time, or triple culling time. At best, "strong dps" is the golden unicorn of Feast. When you see it, it's majestic and beautiful creature, but you can search the entire season and not find it.

And now I'm outright laughing lol. Complaints might not be common right now, late in the season, but perhaps you're forgetting some of the venom that was being thrown around earlier in the season? Top tier players are certainly not an exception.
