I would love something like "Soul gatherer" or "Cup of life" as name to say that the Necromancer would spread his power to bring back dead
I would LOVE this idea. Love love love darker themed jobs, especially in the Final Fantasy universe.
The ideas proposed in here are actually a lot better than I expected when I clicked on a Necromancer thread. Would definitely be interested in playing something like it.

I like your general idea, though as someone else said, I think some of your skillset would need revising.
the immediate thing that came to mind is that all of your healing comes from damaging the enemy... so if the boss goes untargetable or invulnerable... welp :(
in a8s there are phases where the bosses can't be targeted at all but the raid runs about doing mechanics (and taking massive damage). you'd have no way of healing through something like this
I don't know if it would be any more viable, but perhaps Necro could have standard spot and aoe heals, but, like Darkside, not naturally regenerate MP, and it has to recover MP by damaging the boss. The idea being you'd have to balance doing enough damage to keep your MP up, so you have enough to actually heal.
Perhaps an emergency CD where you steal some/all the MP from a teammate

yeah was only an idea of the top of my head, thinking to use on one of your team who don't use MP, but then again I didn't think about the possible trolling aspect. as fun as it would be to run in and snatch all the whm's MP, in DF I think people might get mad quick lmao
Isn't this against religion and beliefs in japan please correct if i'm wrong. Nerco meaning death in greek and manteía meaning of divination of. Divination means to foresee to be inspired by a god. I think its a god idea but summoning the dead is a curse and a blessing.
