Greetings! We are very sorry to hear about these difficulties downloading Patch 3.2 on the Playstation 4 as we know how important it is for all our customers to be able to access FINAL FANTASY XIV. We are currently investigating this matter to determine what is preventing PS4 users from being able to update so that we may resolve this concern.
In the meantime, we would encourage you to please take the following steps as they may assist with allowing the PS4 to update:
1. Reinstall FINAL FANTASY V
If a reinstall is not successful, try rebuilding your PS4's database while in Safe Mode, following these step: https://support.us.playstation.com/a...afe-Mode-PS4/?
If all else fails, you may need to reformat your hard drive.
Other people have managed it but just re-downloading after every fail
Yeah I have seen and tried all but the reformat, as that would take days to reload. I'm just getting tired of the problem.
It resolved now normally :)
Not for me apparently. Just had to sub to see if it was fixed, not so much. Damnit.
I'm having this issue too. My PC's boot drive failed so after replacing it I'm trying to reinstall ffxiv from scratch. When it tries to patch, it downloads the first patch then I get the error mentioned in OP when it attempts to install the first patch. I booted up the PS4 and patched there no problems (but that was just the most recent patch). I tried all the things listed in this thread/reddit... using a VPN got me past the first patch. After that I could patch normally for about 10GB but now it's failed again. 13GB to go but the VPN workaround isn't helping any longer.
*edit* When I got the VPN working for the first patch, I had tried numerous VPN endpoints (Toronto, Dallas, Seattle, Miami, Netherlands.... the one that finally worked that one time was London, UK. Kind of suspect the VPN has nothing to do with it and I just got lucky that one time.
When you say re start after it fails, do you mean the console, the game or the updater? And if I have to re install every time this will go no where, as it takes four hours to re install. One week and still unable to play.
