No thanks. Name length has never been a problem for me in the game, so I see absolutely no need to change things.

I'm 100% for getting rid of Last Names. Nothing is more annoying then seeing Bobobobobobobbobo.. With the last name Bobobobobobobobo.

So all players should be punished for the poor choices of the few. Sounds fair. I personally fail to see how a single name, or shorter names will do away with bad naming choices. It's never stopped it in any other game I have seen.

Unless we get an official RP server where First/Last name and anti-cloning rules are enforced, I am absolutely against changing the current naming system.

I've been unhappy with many of the decisions Yoshi's made, but if I suddenly found myself having to put up with that kind of nonsense, it would very likely be one of the few things that could completely break my faith in the game.

What the eff is this? We've had like 20 threads on this specific topic already. Just revive those, even though it's not going to do anything. Why would Yoshi break this great tradition they've started?

Surnames do so much for the community. You can have a linkshell with the same last name, have same last name for a spouse that plays with you, or just to know that you know another person somehow. Sometimes I recognize people by they're last name. I don't see what's the problem with this already perfected system.

Fixed it for you. :) In any case, having a surname gives another dimension of individualism in the characters we create. I say keep them. Also, unrelated to the thread: I'd rather the mods integrate some sort of legitimate poll system. I'm sick of seeing these generic threads saying "Like this if you (A)" or "Like this if you (B)" just so that people would like their posts.
