I havent looked into the file structure of the ps4 ( i dont have a ps4). Are the files of the ps4 and pc have the same files?
aka is it 22.0 GB?
if you play on a pc and a vpn is still giving you trouble. Seems to be a issue, if you're doing a fresh install of the game, I made a workaround for a friend, who had downloading issues regardless of how many vpns we throw at him. So i uploaded the game files to mediafire ( it was 3.35 at the time). And if you need the instructions it would be, you'll need winrar to compile the files. Download the launcher like you regularly would. Give it the initial start up to get the latest launcher and registry files onto your system. Close down the launcher, and drop the (3.35) game files into your SE directory, and fire up the launcher, it will do a file check and download the 3.38 files and you're good to go

Well download made it further last night and then still got error.
Not likely that it will make a difference but getting faster connection Sunday.
I will then decide if i remain subbed or not, this is absolutely not acceptable anymore
@ Rokochan: the PS4 file is a little over 15 gig

I tried the cyber ghost vpn and that did not work for me. Did i do something wrong with it I opened system tray, right clicked and clicked connect. Then started FFXIV and the download failed at the same spot just took a longer time to get there. h2014.5.27.0000.0000g it always fails on g. I have tried so many other solutions.

So even PC is affected not only PS4 it would seem, they need to fix their problematic launcher which i am 100% convinced is the issue

So i posted in another thread I am spreading the word. This won't work for PS4 sadly and I am sorry to those in that situation. It is definitely a client issue. Basically Steam has a free trial it allows you to download but downloads the full game then just sign in if you have heavensward on your account it will ask to be installed. The clients seem to download differently or something file names seemed different. Again use the free trial on steam or rather install the demo. I hope this helps someone. This issue is far from resolved still this is just a work around for a few. Some ps4 users have no alternative and no clear answer I dont know what can be done about that though. I wish I could help with that but i dont have a ps4 to test anything on.
