Nothing more needs to be added after "it takes 5 mins for ps3 players to load." Wish I was joking but many instances can't even be started unless all players load, so one can already see how inconvenient that is for a whole group.

I admit I haven't read everyone's comments because I'm on my phone so I apologise if they've already been mentioned. These are what I've seen on the forums that have either received a Dev response or many players giving the PS3 limitation reason.
Au Ra horn separation, allowing us to dye multiple parts of our gear, zone separation (stairs being a loading screen and not just being able to walk up them for example), more character customisation (individual feature separation and not just face types), longer hairstyles, inventory and retainer space.
I will edit and add more if I can think of any from the top of my head. Also please don't quote me on this, as I said this is just what I've seen mentioned on the forums, some have had an official response and some haven't.
I just want my muscle sliders..
I think the RAM issue is the root of it.... but I'm also convinced SE doesn't churn out a massive graphical update has less to do with laziness and more to do with the moral obligation that the 3 versions need to offer as similar an experience as possible.
2.0 was built with the idea that it HAD to scale down, way down, to run on the already very out-dated PS3 hardware, as was promised to Sony. 1.0 was such an optimization disaster that this was impossible.
But now that it's been hinted again and again that 4.0 may drop the PS3 (shoot, Sony themselves could reasonably do so soon, as well) we may not have such limitation.
Or maybe they will. Why fix what isn't broke?
I also think "PS3 limitations" is based off the "PS2 limitations" gag we FFXI players used. A lot of times the FFXI devs would say they couldn't implement something due to PS2 limitations, only for it to be added later. I know that doesn't address your question, but I feel that's why some of us throw it around "PS3 limitations."
Another rubbish treat...
PS3 holds nothing back for PS4/PC players!
...wearing 2 hats? lol... sure... thats a 'normal' thing, right?
Well you know, except for the fact that it does. If you have to design your game around your weakest client's limitations, that client is effectively holding back the other more capable clients. As already mentioned in this thread, the PS3's biggest issue is its horrendous lack of memory. SE has to cut a lot of corners and make many sacrifices to the client in order to keep the game playable on the PS3 and since they can't or wont make three completely different clients, everyone on PS4 and PC loses out too.
Nothing is going to change even if they drop the PS3 support. Today it's PS3 limitations, tomorrow it's PS4 limitations. The cycle will never end. As long as this game is on consoles, the glorious PC master race will never get the fluff they want.
