Why is this server so dead?

Probably a case of people leaving to join more populated servers or just people quitting. It seems like most of the time I log into balmung I see a queue pop up..

A good number of these are caused by big-server-flight. Not the /tell spam or bots obviously, but when the people go, so does everything else.

Since being with Siren since 10/2013, we've finally hit our tolerance limit and are bouncing as well.

Siren has always been small, it has just gotten worse. Balmung and Gilga are absorbing people like mad. Server mergers wouldn't be bad as we have 2 servers consolidating the player base...

Siren is among the mid-pop servers, it's not dead. But as of 2016/11/11, we are in the later part of the patch (latest update being 3.45 a couple of weeks ago), so many people are playing other games until FF XV, or patch 3.5.
