Just because we hate this idea does not mean we are not creative. Point is in your idea you are trying to make the class fun..... and important. the best way to do that is just add the avatars we want. Simple as that IMO. Why create this awesome line of story just so we can try to get a result we still do not want. We want to summon classic avatars as well as new ones.

I completely understand how people love summons like Ifrit. Even though it may not be the most powerful ever to grace the FF series it's still incredibly popular. For whatever reason SE has decided that in XIV avatars like Ifrit will be highly powerful company summons. The summoner job will summon other sorts of avatars.

I guess I'm just among those who aren't particularly down on this. If we were summoning things like Ifrit, Garuda, etc I'd think 'ok... well... I saw that coming.' It's expected to summon those things. That makes it a little more boring for me in everyday gaming.

For that reason I'm seriously looking forward to summoning some of the other possible avatars like Golem, Yojimbo or Magus Sisters. They're great.

Many of those in the OP list (Crusader, Raiden, Adrammelech, Mateus, Belius, Hashmal etc..) are hardly what I'd consider lesser summons. But it's a good list overall.

My preference would be create summons from past FF bosses, as well as bringing back some lesser used summons:

• Valefor - Astral
• Scarmiglione - Earth
• Rubicante - Fire
• Cagnazzo - Water
• Barbariccia - Wind
• Ixion - Thunder
• Mist Dragon - Ice
• Deathgaze - Umbral

I'm certain that the summons we do get will be fun. After all they're really only adding smn to the game because yoshi-p feels like playing smn. It had better be fun.

SMN should be added to the game because it's a FINAL FANTASY game. But I'm glad Yoshi-P is a fan of the job. It's always been my favorite part of the series.

Ideally, I'd like to see an 'Evoker' Class (see FFIII) who summons Carbuncle and Elemental Spirits - (no MP upkeep), and a 'Summoner' Job who gets access to more advanced summons (such as the ones I listed) with heavy MP upkeep.

Also, the Summoner Job should be a mandatory component for summoning Primals - even though they are summoned by the Player Company.

Smn being mandatory for a company summoning primals may already be a part of the plan ^^
