1. Race specific combat animations as an option if we don't like the current ones.
2. That whatever new crafting recipes they add will not require us to re-visit any old areas and the materials needed are from new areas only.
3. Recipes requiring 4-6 items only used for crafts at the level cap only. So if the new cap is 70, only level 70 crafting recipes will require 4-6 different items, everything from 60-69 only requiring 1-3 different items.
4. New classes. I don't really care what, I'll level it regardless.
5. Hidden items on gathering nodes eliminated entirely and visible from the get go.
6. Unspoiled nodes eliminated as well with the items placed on the normal gathering nodes.
7. More weighty choices during the main story that changes some dialogue/npc's you encounter along the way even if the overall story and ending don't change much.
8. Player characters actually participating in those fight cutscenes so that the npc's aren't having all the fun. Something like the player character's dramatic entrance in the ninja 50 and 60 job quests are a good example.
That's all I can think of offhand.

Stance off protection - Stuff like Cleric or Grit that wear off if you already have them on if you hit them again in an oGCD, make it so it protects against double stance shifts within 5 seconds, it will turn it off only, instead of it being possible to turn it off then on again.
So if I have cleric stance on, and I mash the button because it doesn't want to turn off most of the time, multiple presses only turns it off and not back on again. Right now it's clunky. Turning it on doesn't have a problem, since it has a cooldown already.
Better/customizable debuff filters - Increase the display cap on debuffs on bosses (esp. in 24 mans) so it shows the player all their debuffs on the mob instead of the cap we have now where sometimes there are too many so you use a dot or something and it doesn't show up at all even though it lands.
Also add a customizable debuff filter for the target bar, so for example if I'm on Ninja/Warrior and I only want to see my stuff AND dancing edge/storm's eye I can do that so there isn't a back and forth overwriting nonsense. If I'm on Bard/MCH and I want to keep track of Disembowel from a DRG I could also do so, if I'm on a caster and want to see Foe's I can also do that, Trick Attack etc.
Also, the current option also filters debuffs cast by enemies if you have the filter on, makes it annoying for healers that are trying to see how long the debuff and it's duration on the target bar.

Ala Mhigo, Red Mage, more character customization, avoid adding more spells to an already crowded spell list. A whip class.
-
Dancer job preferably as a healer type, but could live with dps also.
SE finding some way to block RMT /tells which annoy me every day.
Swimming. Underwater exploration is always fun. Make it fun!
More mounts to use as battle companions similar to our Chocobo's like using the Unicorn to fight with you or one of the primal ponies or the lanner birds etc.
More housing slots to place items and more different kinds of flowers for outdoor gardens. I really love to make my garden beautiful :)
I'd be happy with a new race or expanded options for the races we have - like more poses, emotes, faces, hair, and other body/face options etc or adding a third clan to each race which look a bit different than what we have now.
I don't want ala mhigo cause I am sick to death of hearing about that place lol and Illberd isn't exactly a good spokesperson for it since I hate him passionately.
More dye colours maybe.

- Red Mage!
- Deeper Character Customization
- Ala Mhigo
- Remove Wanderers Menuett from Bard
- Give Machinist two guns and a faster playstyle
- Make more cloting and gear more dyeable (two colors maybe?)
- Give me the option to create own quests (with rewards) for my FC
- Garlean styled jetpack as mount xD

Remove TP.
It's a stupid mechanic that punishes you for playing well. While I see it's usefulness in stopping people from Doom Spike spamming everything, it gets extremely irritating when you're simply doing your single-target rotation and you floor your TP gauge. Monks, Dragoons and Paladins suffer the most from this since their tools to manage TP are limited and it gets drained very quickly. As a Dragoon main if I'm in a party without a ninja, I'll be out of TP in some 3 minutes of continuous single-target DPSing. Bards and Machinists will not sing a TP song if I am the only person needing it. There is nothing I can do to manage TP without relying on outside factors.

They could do BLU right, I don't know if people would like it, but instead of really learning skills traditionally it can just tell you what it is, and you go find the enemy with it. Then when they use it on you, RNG chance. Then blue could do DPS/Support/heal/tank. They could make it so that blue has a large spectrum of abilities to learn make it a all in one but not as proficient as the other jobs that are really specific for the role.
I would honestly like to see RDM take a tank slot as odd as that might sound.

I would like us to go deeper into the lore and meaning behind the gods/goddesses we chose, our clan and so forth. Maybe open up some new outfits or customization options based on how we interact with them. Imagine a unique body tribal talisman or tattoo for doing quests for a group of Keepers of the Moon - or some unique hair ornament for doing some sidequests for the country lalafell (I can't remember their tribe).
For our chosen god/goddess I'm not sure how they would approach this, but maybe a once a day ability/blessing of some kind? Of course if it were really a buff, everyone would choose Rhalgr (DESTRUCTION, BABY!) But I could see something like Naldthal taking off market tax for a little time or Oshon letting you dig an extra treasure map (exploration).

- implement nms with useful gear/mat drops (no tomestone/seal crap) and more open world content
- more gear diversity and additional bonuses would be cool, too. Actually BiS is always highest possible ilvl which is kinda boring#
- difficult 4 man content like savage dungeons would be also cool, getting 7 other nice/competent people together is a pain the a*
