But personalized loot is on the same table as dungeon loot for your class drops, meaning there's RNG and boss loot tables just excludes the others. Token systems are fine however the RNG in half this game has 7 items that can drop per class and 3 other items that cover another 7 which is a wopping 21 items that can drop. Put that in with a weekly raid like T9 and your chances are low (I'm including drk ast and mch weapons since they are classes that have new weapons too). Personalized loot would eliminate some rng to help get the items you want and if you didn't get that item you'd have another roll at additional tomes/ tokens if you didn't get that piece so it's like you didn't miss your loot lockout for nothing.
I agree with it's tougher to tweak the loot system if they did go this way as we only have 4 bosses with over 30 items of loot it'd have to limit it substantially. Meaning that if your personalized loot from 1st boss is gloves and belt you could take it, however with the weekly lockout it's more annoying because you could get a drop just for you from first that you needed or it'll be a drop from last boss.
They could even add an incentive that you do weeping city/alex savage and have chest/loot/roll lockout for extra manifestos/gobtwine/materia V but that'd have to be looked at really carefully. Just trying to think of ways people are rewarded while being able to raid and do weeklys to have more incentive and a better loot system.
