On the other end of the spectrum, since I always play a healer I wonder if I switched to tank would I see similar problems in healers that queue? What is the tank experience with healers?

D: I main tank so I don't see this, but just be like "Hey Quigg que in progress for X dungeon." And I be like "I got you brother." :D
I don't even get that to be honest. Sure there are some dungeons I will like less than others, but what could possibly be so bad about any one of them that it's worth dropping for?
In any case, I have a question that's more out of curiosity than anything else. If someone drops from your duty and the ranks are replenished to reform a full, light party again, will anyone still get a penalty for leaving?
I main tank, I rarely meet this situation whenever I queue in as either dps or healer. When thing like this happen just call your FC for tank. As a tank whenever I queue into any duty, I stick out to the very end. I don't mind if it's a wipe fest as long as I finish what I start.
I main DRK and i don't careif we continously wipe on DF as long as :
- the healer don't forget to heal me ;
- the DPS know their rotations ;
- nobody pool before me.
You want some big pull ? ask.
Too much pull ? ask.
First time here ? NP, ask and someone will help.
BUT :
- don't come in your first dungeon if you levelled up in fates ;
- and don't come withcrappy gear 20 level under !
It may just be me but since when has there been a EX roullete or 4 man dungeon that is so hard u'd run from it? I may hate Arum Vale (under the grounds of it take the mosy "Skill" to beat without wipes, high mob grouping & cripiling boss mechanic's) but will always go till eather the timer runs out or Vote abandon by DPS or Healer (or as other guy said RL stuff). Done almost all 4-mans as all 3 roles (healer still has a few I haved tried synced) & have never ran like a scared child from any of them (won't condem those who don't due certian Primals, EX version's, or Coil/Alex savage outa fear cause that shit be crazy... even I fear it but for the more a fear of failing & letting ppl down due to lack of skill)
Yes you probably will playing all roles it seems to be a 50/50, as a dps its either tank or healer, as tank its sometimes healer(usually at the beginning) same for as healer tank usually bails at the beginning, if they bail. Only time i see dps bailing is if its content tat involves a few wipes really(bad party synergy)
Its not as prominent, but its usually due to a lack in dps, or they don't like the way I pull and use my CD's. These things can tend to make a healer bail, as they see it as being a slower run than normal, even if its only by a few minutes...
If the ranks get filled, the next person to leave will get a penalty.
Continuing my anima grind I have wonderful stories for you. Qeued into Antitower today, this is probably my 15th or so dungeon for the day. Decided to take it easy since I usually spend my dungeons explaining bosses to new players, helping damage all that stuff, so I'm just going to sit back and eat my dinner while healing.
Tank says
"You can DPS Zol. You're only casting 1 Cure per pack anyuway. Get some Holy in there mang."
I don't say anything, stick to healing mostly. Throw out a full row of aero's and a stone3. we get to the boss. they kick me from the group for this. I sat in this queue for 10 minutes so that I could get kicked for such a reason. Needless to say I'm a bit upset by this.
When I queue as tank, I don't usually get healers who instaquit like tanks will. Fairly often I get healers who refuse to dps, and those dungeons take longer for no reason. I don't kick for just that reason, though. Some people are bad. In duty finder, I work with who I get, as long as they're trying and have a positive attitude.
If you were eating your dinner and barely playing on purpose, then you deserved to be kicked. Three other people stuck with you don't know anything about you. They don't know you've built up so much karma by helping out people (and that you feel entitled to cash in your karma at the expense of three strangers). All they see is a healer who is barely doing anything. They don't need to wait on you. Eat your dinner first, then queue.
I don't agree with them kicking you, since they didn't know whether you were just bad, but knowing your reason for why you were playing poorly, you deserved it. Next time please be more considerate.
