How does MNK AoE compare?

If your average MNK deals the same damage as your average BLM in the fight that is consisting of 90% AoE were a BLM can basically turret, how can a BLM be so much better?

Here is how all the DPS did in A2S.

It really depends on how the AoE is set up.

If you're talking dungeon trash that allows for down time between pulls for TP regen, and dies fast because the whole party is doing good AoE, MNK is near the top. If it's large pack of dungeon trash that lives for 45+ seconds because the party sucks at AoE, a MNK can't carry the party through that like a BLM/SMN/BRD/MCH.

In the parts of A2S where there are more than 4 mobs in a cluster, BLM blows MNK away. When it's 2-3 mobs, MNK is basically getting bonus damage on their AoE oGCDs while BLM would end up doing about the same or less by going into AoE mode.

In a nutshell: MNK is best melee AoE. Ranged Attackers are always better.

You really dont understand why monks even want or got a buff.

I dont have a issue with my current DPS frankly our last mnk buff was a surprise. What i have a issue with is our lack in utility and frankly thus far all SE has done is increased our DPS to compensate(or so i believe).

But sure. We dont need a buff, ur right, we need utility.

xD I think AST is slashing damage... maybe SCH/SMN/WHM/THM are blunt? XD Oh yeah keep that up for my auto deeps!
