You can still drain HP even when yours is full. It still affects the target. As for the front Ifrit's horns can be incapped but you need to hit him from the front. hey were using their buffs even when they didn't have TP to get the maximum number of uses out of it throughout the battle. The sooner you use it the sooner recast will be up.

Its interesting to beat it with 1 CNJ but the 6 minute part I wouldn't be that proud of. We've beat it in 6m30s with 3 lnc 2 mrd 2 cnj 1 thm before. (No dashes, all eruptions on mages, lots of incinerates/plumes) Basically a lucky draw of what WS's he uses, though with 6 LNC its impossible to get incredibly lucky draws since Eruption will be on meele every time. Gotta love when he spams dashes though, 17 minute fight with mages sitting at full MP at the end -.-;;
I think we were going to try to burn him before Hellfire got off for fun one day but haven't tried yet. With 6 LNC's the math says its possible if you ignore all effects, nails, and he decides to not use dash (maybe 1 dash is OK but its close). You just have to ignore Eruptions and eat them, and try to have 4-5 of the LNC have full TP right on Nail transition start.

So by adding 2 lancers, you shaved off 1 minute 16 seconds from our 4 lancer kill @ 7 minutes 15 seconds

You cant kill him before he casts hellfire as he will hellfire at 15-20% no matter how long he has left on the nail phase timer, meaning he can cast hellfire 30 seconds into the nail phase if you have enough damage on him instead of the usual 1 minute.
Also eruptions shouldn't be a problem if the dps are moving correctly, in phase 1 you can move and continue damaging ifrit with no downtime, in phase 3 you should have very little to no downtime depending on if it spawns on you and phase 5 with 6 lancers should be dead before he has a chance to use more than 1-2 abilties.
Either way congrats on the kill guys very nice, although 6 minutes isn't really that fast from personal experience but your healer was very impressive.
