lol. but these are 80% players who dont even play the game.. Promoting it. I think Seph is to hard for this group.
As someone who went to the last one with Ravana, I can say that the fights are a modified version of the HM. It's slightly harder but all the gear is usually casual level top notch gear. The characters are all decked out and the fight itself is made for newbies and veterans alike.
I watched people walk away with brand new people on the team and a shirt saying that it wasn't too bad. On top of that, the groups are given additional chances if the SE employees see that they have a solid way to finish. I remember watching one group have three goes of it before the SE peeps had to call it for them and they left without shirts. Even then, you're more than welcome to try again.
AND! If there are experienced people on the team, they are also able to call out to each other what to do next. A newbie usually can have an SE employee also come over and help them out with the basic controls. They give the people every chance to succeed.
When asked as well, the Ravana fight had about an 85% clear rate. Most groups got it and at HM level, Ravana and Sephirot are no different than each other. Nothing that can't be learned in one fight.
The people will be fine.
Now talk to me about the one E3 where they accidentally had Levi EX running the first day and barely anyone walked away with a shirt.
And that isn't true at all. The majority of all people who were in that line were all huge SE fanatics who were happy to talk about their enjoyment of the expansion. It was rare that someone with zero experience came into the line.
lol about that, actually ...

So, it was pretty crazy easy. Nerfed version of the story/hm version. Half knockback, no debuffs from adds, pretty much the only thing that can kill you for sure is falling off or not going up with the storm.
You also have i229, full lore except a 220 prototype ring.
I even saw a pretty noob group lose 5 people to falling and still manage a clear, just took a while.
I can understand why they make it so easy but it would be nice to have some kind of challenge too.
My wife and I play PLD and WHM. We carried a group of 5 guys who didn't know how to play too and one guy who was a good SCH. It can be done as long as enough people know what to do. The guys we were with knew how to kill the wind Sprite and that as enough.
See? Easily clearable even for noobs. As was said.
It should be hard, that way the shirt actually means something, imo.
Maybe slightly easier than the in-game trial itself (which I imagine it is), but really that fight isn't much harder than shiva unless you're a klutz and walk off the edge.
