Simply just make it like VA etc, no roll no get. Resolved! ^^;

The game could use a temporary treasure pool for situations like this since we don't have the option of re-looting a corpse like other MMOs. It's what FFXI did anyways to prevent things going straight to the ground immediately.

A simple solution is to do what other MMOs do and if something isn't looted it just stays on the box or corpse it came from. I think FFXIV is the only MMO I know where loot just gets thrown away if it's not immediately claimed. I'm not sure why it's intentionally thrown away like that... Maybe it's to help prevent like item duping or something(wild guess)? That's the best I can think of, I can only assume it's intentional but I have no idea why.

Don't you already get a warning when your inventory has 3 slots or less left?

Happened to me, I went pony farming back in the day with 1 free slot, thinking I'm not going to lot on anything other than the whistle
