It says they instantly recover you from KO or incapacitation or something in the description, from what I remember, with the cheap one being "sometimes" and the expensive one being a sure thing.
I've gotten used to not having Reraise and it adds a nice element of danger and challenge. In most cases you can retry things almost immediately compared to the several days/weeks it took to be allowed reentry into some fights in FF11. I personally hope they don't implement Reraise anytime soon. -

I used the tonic before it nice to have as a mage or DD you can use this on a down player w/ no harm to mp. If they have Re raise i see it having a very long cool down. Then its gonna be back to zombie tactics <.<

So that tonic isn't like a buff reraise it's just a quick to use if mage is saving mp on tank i take it o.o
