This isn't an issue with such larger issues at hand hindering the Pvp modes.
I don't know if that's necessary the points are already subtracted from the other team on death. Usually just killing the player at that late point is enough to win. If anything that delay should be fixed first before thinking about adding the total temporarily I think
You understand that you're foregoing the whole mechanic where people have to grab medals and get stacks for them. You're proposing that the medals be awarded to the TEAM, but in the interim you're saving yourself from stacks. Sometimes people pick up medals, and die from damage via stacks right after. This would make it so no one will want to pick up medals until the very last second before they disappear. Also, I like that there's a delay cause it's easier to clearly identify who is going to take them. If they made the delay less, a lot of melees might pick them up right after by mistake.

No they should not make your suggestion a thing that is not how any sport is played man, just because you get the ball back does not mean you automatically score.
