Where do YOU use Spirits Within, Tempered Will?

I do know Sprits Within stops some moves on all Chimera's (Relic & Fractal's, not sure on Cutters Cry's end boss cause I don't think it lets u have it there) & works on stoping 1 move on the ADS in T1's 1st boss. As for Tempered will I belive the heavy removal works on any heavys with an actual counter (have seen it not work on ones that had no counter but this de-buff was removed when u got outa the constant AoE that gave it) and anything that would knock u back (thou its long cooldown stops it from being really helpful in a pinch often 1 fight)

Back when Titan still had horrible server lag and dodging landslide could be done as reliably as a coin toss I'd cover + tempered will the healer that way even if they got hit you would take it for them and tempered will would prevent the knockback.

Spirits for opener.. save for magic attack if can't stun or build stun rez. Will i just use it to get rid of knockback

Tempered Will in Dzemael Darkhold, Aurum Vale, Titan EX, T5, T9, I think T13, A3, M2, M4, Seph NM, Seph EX. Off the top of my head. Also while having to run around the open world when you get heavied by a random trash mob, I hop off my chocobo, tempered will and Sprint.

I rarely use the silence on Spirits Within since ADS and Chimera, most things that can be silenced can be stunned and I love my shield bash (when TP isn't a concern).

Tempered will works with Shiva Ex knock back move in bow form!
Titan Ex and mini adds, stand there and laugh at their sad attempt to knock you off!
Bismark if you forget it's wind weather. >< (oops..)

To those saying Titan ex, I just want to clarify that they are talking about landslide, tempered will does NOT effect his sumo stomp.

The most important (and annoying) thing to remember about Spirits Within is that it scales with your health. The more health you have left, the higher its potency, to a maximum of 300 at 100% health. I'm not sure of the exact relationship, since I've never bothered to look into it.

Also important to note is you can only get 2 Spirits Within in one cast of Fight or Flight if you have Spear on you. FoF is 30s - SW has a 35s recast. You're probably referring to Circle of Scorn, here, which has a 25s recast and can be used twice in FoF's span, if you use the first early enough.

But, yeah. People have pretty much pointed to all the times it's useful. Situational, but they've also seemed to finally been putting more knockback and such into the game to make Tempered Will, Plunge, and Holmgang's stationary component have significant uses (not including the dps value of Plunge).

A5S -
single-target buster has knockback that you can nullify with TW.
A6S -
Blaster: mines have a knockback that is likely nullified by TW? Never tried it, but it worked in A8.
Vortexer: Super Cyclone is a knockback that can be nullified by TW.
A8S -
Recombination knockback
Vortexer reappears

There's a LOT of mobs in dungeons these days that use major AoE skills which can be stunned OR silenced.
The Light Sprites in the new Amdapor use a long-cast AoE that you can Silence.
The Mana Pots also use a blinding skill that can be silenced (and is used three times simultaneously - enough damage to kill people with less than 13k-ish health.
You can also stun the Holy skill from the zombie CNJs in the part between boss 1 and 2 in Amdapor.

In Antitower, you can silence the big AoE used by the Mammet Wizards near the end
Silence doesn't have much other use in that dungeon, though, unfortunately, since most mobs are physical.

My co-tank tried it last night and said it worked.

I used Tempered Will on the first Wash Away in A3S to make positioning for that first Digititis easier.

Spirits Within was great for silencing Banish 3 on the Corrupted Sprites in Pharos Sirius.
