Wait, there's an Original Fat chcobo? Where is it?

And they wouldn't add more commendation rewards yet until more people get the 3k reward. Last I checked, only 900 or so people had it between the entire NA, EU, and JP population, which is like 0.2% (making it the rarest mount in the game when accounting that it's been in since 2.4).

A little off-topic, but a question I've wondered about for a while. How do players have upwards 5,000 commends let alone 3,000+? I play almost everyday (since commends were introduced), generally get 1-2 commends per content and I am only sitting in the 2Ks. Am I just bad and should be expecting 3-5+ commends per run, or am I missing something?

guildhests lol just spam them constantly will get comms pretty fast XD i only found that out recently got my last 40 to get the 500 achivement in couple hours play

PVP also lets you give commendations to other players.

If it looks like this then its loosely based on FFIX Fat Chocobo with the parade being a recolor since that's the only chubby one I'm aware of having a hat. However I think the "Original" Fat Chocobo in FFIII and IV on the NES were cream or closer in color to the White Chocobo like the one from IX.

That was my first thought as well. I hope the mount has more to it, heck, even new music, but I doubt it.

I do all of my roulettes everyday. I average 1-2 for 4-man content and 3-7 for 8-man content. I also get some in PvP, though they are very few and far between. I try to be friendly (even if it's just hello and goodbye) and I go out of my way to make the run easier for everyone (ie, if I'm on one of my healers, I'll run and grab chests or DoT up the webs in Toto-Rak, ect. If I'm tanking, I'll ask if anyone wants/needs full clear and go with the majority). Just treat other people well and they will generally commend your efforts. c:

Queue a lot of stuff. Solo. You'll probably have better luck getting them as a tank unless you are really bad at it. Not much else to say about it, really.

Emphasis on "lets."

When all it takes to leave a pvp match is one single button press as soon as it concludes, most people will do just that.
