I think a color coordinated pop group from Japan has a lot more in common with Sentai shows than Star Trek.

Fortunately you don't have to choose her, as she's obnoxious even by potato standards. MY issue with the "choose the leader" thing is what the point of it is? There doesn't seem to be anything extra that happens once the girls have reached MAX HYPE status, and no character interaction changes based on that decision.
