I dont think most people will clear Midas Savage on less than 3 weeks.

I think it would depend on the class and what secondaries you're into.
As a SCH, the Anima weapon is going to trump pretty much everything else they throw at me, because of the crit. Since it's going to reliably be a good weapon every patch and it will always have crit on it, I'll just ignore the other stuff. I know that's not world-first progression quality, but it's by and far the most playtime efficient and that's what I need to prioritize.
Watch the new tome weapon require a drop from A6S, like back in SCoB and FCoB, and 1300 Lore.

Always the order. At 210, the weapon equates to just over 1/3rd of your damage capabilities. For example, my Summoner has 3445 INT once all stats are weighted, and the weapon equals 1358 of that. Therefore, 39% of my damage output is based off the weapon, and 61% is based off the rest of my gear.
Huh?
SCob abd FCoB tome weapons required a drop from t7/t11 to just get the weapon, on top of the tomes needed. To upgrade, you needed a drop from t8/t12.
I'm expecting this new one to be similar; need the drop from A6S to get the weapon, drop from a7s to upgrade, and the a8s weapon will be 5ilv higher than the upgraded tome weapon.
Also, expecting the ilv to be like this:
Primal - 215
Tome - 220
Upgraded Primal - 220
Upgraded tome - 230
Midas - 235
Also, gordias could get upgraded to 215 in 3.2,just like allagan got upgraded from 90 to 95
The new tomestone weapon is probably going to require a drop from Alexander savage like in 2.2 and 2.4. My reasoning here is that they're adding Sephirot, who will be dropping *at least* 210, but probably 215, and adding a tomestone weapon with no raid requirement would put a 3 week lifespan on that content.
e: Whoops looks like someone took the words out of my mouth a couple posts up.
