FFxiv titled as the best game of 2015 by Projared

Well I just lots a ton of respect for Jared.

The biggest issue of course being that even if you count it separately from 1.0, ARR is a 2012 game.

If you're stretching the rules that much you should probably give that slot to Chrono Trigger or FF VI.


And of course the other issue that the only thing XIV is "best" at is being a WoW clone. "Least sucky WoW clone on the market" could be their slogan. Doesn't change the fact that there has never been a good WoW clone.

I don't know if you watched it until the end, but Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate got GoTY from him. He loves the Monster Hunter franchise, and for good reason.

I know some (most ? :p ) people might not care about it, but it's nice to see that the game still pleases people to the point of being deemed "best game of the year" by them.


Because eventually, no matter how much we love to bitch about details within the game, we still love it, and we love seeing it flourish and please new (and old) players as much as it pleases (or pleased) us.

When lots of us are doing the minimum, like not even all roulettes, not going into the same dungeons for 100th time because new patch is coming, new patch will come and new gear, tome as well..

Since my BF loves to get all his jobs to 60, he gets there slowly.. but his interest in the game? Went down to a low, he's always hoping they'll bring back the hype that 2.0 brought.. but 3.0.. same with different maps, so a lot of us are bored to death.

If they revamps the cross-class skill system, the skill trees, unlocking onced and for all the GC which they mentionned we would have mercenaries.. instead of new plushies to sell on Mogstation.. (and don't get me started on the 'towels' ughhh)

they make soundtracks with lots of songs.. where do we get them while moving? and even my BF bought the Red Baron, seem the supposed music isn't there.. >.<

oh yeah we'll get the songs in a jukebox inside our FC houses.. what about the open world?

So far, that's the only game in which we play, waiting for them to make good moves until.. a new interesting game will entice us the way 2.0 did.. then it might be gbye for a while..

We will still check updates to see if anything would rekindle the flame, but for sure they lost a lot of people, even if they are not telling us, we see our friends and FC going.. stale.

SE, do something so that it's not too late and make FFXIV the best 2016-2017-2018-2019 and 2020 the best game!

ARR is from 2013...but Heavensward is a 2015 game ;)

I know, but MH was a no-brainer for him so he just put it off-charts.

Heavensward isn't a game tho, it's an expansion. You don't see anyone listing Afterbirth as one of their their 2015 games.
