Maybe on Maelstrom, but on Flames after 5-8PM EST if you get on the queue train it's pretty much instapop all night unless you are too slow to requeue. I think people underestimate how important it is to leave and requeue ASAP.

It's kinda the opposite here for Exodus. It's a highly populated and casual server, yet there's much less PvPers than there should be.

Was on mana DC / shinryu recently. Around their prime ques are consistently around 5m (adders) wait times for several hours, daily.
I can confirm. Queues are significantly better on mana. I moved to Chocobo to check it out.
compared with chaos:
Problems:
Language barrier.
Latency (I kinda fixed it with WTFast), this is the biggest problem. The more latency the bigger the disadvantage. It sucks.
1M gil limit on world transfer. I spent millions of gil before transferring not to waste em. Not a big problem for me as I generally never need much gil. I also "transfered" a few mills to one of my other characters via market board. I understand why it is like this, 'cause prices on chocobo are much lower.
Slower queues in EU/NA prime time (probably, but queues still pop).
The good:
Much faster queues. Like, seriously fast in prime time.
The retard level is noticeable lower. Yolo level lower. Random pugs can actually think.
Less salt in the chat (as far as I can tell lol,).
All this is just after 1 day, so take it with a grain of... salt.
Aether is really active on the wolves den front. :)
