It's mainly to line up better with TA/Battle Litany, the sooner you get your offensive buffs going the better.

Also yeah, you shouldn't pull using 2x FC early but the MT has to know how to do a proper opener as well for whatever tank they're playing. Always try to adjust to the situation that allows for highest group DPS, whatever that might be.

I see. Yea it does feel a little wasted in that regard.

@ Alexi - I haven't ran against another war while on drk/pld (my pld would prolly struggle since only 180 weapon), but when I war the only time it's really ever an issue is if I butchers block under berserk. *Correction* I was thinking about final coil days, t11 I would open with SE>BB and that first BB would always rip off my pld buddy.

So does this mean that with my rotation, the double fell cleaves may be after Trick attack and battle litany have already fallen off? (I know nothing of how Ninja/DRG rotation goes).

The rotation I use is more like the OP, I get my 3x cleave off but build the first 4 stacks the slow way before popping everything

Ok, so this is just anecdotal so far, I need to test this a lot more, but so far Spooky's suggestion is paying off. I'm bursting anywhere from 1400-1800 on the dummy up until pacification kicks in, whereas before it was more like a burst of 1250-1500ish. At least that's what some parse using stranger who happened to run by said I was hitting.

Losing the small amount of time on the opening is not a big deal unless it lines up poorly with a boss immunity window or costs you a Berserk usage during the fight. So your opener might be perfectly fine. And, the double FC portion of a manual stack building opener should still line up with Battle Litany. The only way the third would line up is if you use the pre-infuriate triple FC opener but it would be a tight fit.

And of course you parse higher on a shot duration parse. You are cutting off the low DPS manual stack building phase.

Yeah, so for thordan it may not make a lot of difference. it's just a choice of un-berserked stack building at the end, or beginning of the first phase before he goes un-targetable.

As OT, I don't gain stacks pre pull, since I'm not one to ask for ensuna, eye combo, butchers combo,heavy swing as floor AoEs appear, TRIPLE FC stuffs, finish eye, fracture , pacified as gaze casts, brutal swing facing away, I usually sit 1500 1700 as phase changes , as Mt 1200 unchained into deliv

It's not a question of "will my FCs hit during BL/TA?" it's "how many buffed GCDs can I fit within BL/TA?". It's minimal gains, though, so it really doesn't matter - you can easily use OP's opener in Thordan and still parse perfectly fine. It's way more important what you do for the rest of the fight than what you do in your opener. I'd recommend parsing for 3-4 min and seeing what works best for you, and then try and see which works best in actual content like Thordan (results may vary).

This opener is similar to one I posted, though I pop Vengeance -> RI before the pull to get them on CD sooner and Fracture before my 2x FC (to get the 5 Abandon snapshot on top of all the other buffs rolling). I'm not actually 100% sure if my Fracture usage is better though, it aligns weirdly if I don't have Minuet.

I've played a lot around with it, and found the following opening to be my personal favorite. If you don't have the skill speed to do 9 actions in your berserk, skip Fracture.
