As for beast quests, you don't have to aggro every mob and if you're high enough level, you won't aggro many of them. Even if you do, the mobs will melt. If you get a beast quest that requires a Fate and it's not up, just queue for something and see if it's up when you return, or leave and come back later (only a couple min lost to check). You can also afk in the spot and get RL stuff done. Turn your sound up so you hear the fate when it pops. There are ways of being productive even during this kind of downtime.
The same thing applies to Frontline. Yes, queues are long, but there's nothing saying you have to stare at your screen while waiting for them. You can play triple triad, do hunts, fate grind, and some other stuff that isn't such a bad way to spend your time. Or you can get RL stuff done.
Also, it's worth mentioning that I did say that the times above are my times. YMMV. I do main a tank job though which means that for most content I do have a) fast queues and b) control over dungeon pacing (how many mobs pulled at once, etc.).
Anyway, even if you were to add a few min on to each dungeon and beast tribe, you're still talking about a trivial amount of extra time per day (<15 or 30 min).

Are you sure you calculated the beast tribes correctly? You only get 3 per day per tribe, and each tribe is restricted to one item (shell is only from sahagin, ore from kobold, etc.). The way it is typed it it looks like you were basing it on a flat 12 tokens from the same tribe per day, and being able to use them universally? ONLY the Vanu item can be used universally, and that takes 18 per item.
After 4 days with a lesser tribe, plus one more quest on the 5th day, you get the 13 tokens from that one tribe to get one item specific to that tribe (ie, ore from Kobolds requires 13 tokens from kobold rank 3 quests, limited to 3 per day). Then you have 2 left over to go towards the next item. Basically, it takes 4.33 days per tribe per item, based on 3 runs per tribe per day.
That means you would be getting 4 items the first week...one per tribe, and be 11/13 the way towards the next item from each tribe. On that 8th day you would get the next 2 tokens needed for that second item from each tribe.
Basically, it doesn't add up to what it appears you were calculating in regards to tribes. Even if it is only 15 minutes total to get from tribe to tribe and run the quests and turn them in, that works out to 1 hour per tribe to get 12 tokens for that particular tribe (15 minutes a day X 4 days), and you are still 1 token short. It actually works out to 87 days per tribe to get all 20 (86 X 3 per day=258, takes 260 to make 20 items). That works out mathematically to 4.35 days per item per tribe over time if you were to do that tribe's 20 items only by the tribe quests.
So, yes it may be a nice supplement along with tomes and other methods....just not sure it is actually as lucrative as you were calculating. -

You get 100 tomes from the bonus on level 50 roulette, but the dungeons give various amounts of tomes. I forgot potential new player bonuses for the level 50 dungeons/main scenario too, so you could actually finish the poetics tokens significantly faster. I have only been running into other people working on the relic since Wednesday, however, so I guess that may not happen too often.
Either way, thanks for the post! I'm actually mostly okay with the grind but wish it had come a bit sooner. I hope prices come down for the crafted stuff soon though. :( I don't really know any crafters on Hyperion and I only have cooking and leatherworking done so far because lazy. -
