I just recorded many runs of 3mnks 2 brds 1 drg doing the exact same thing. It's called A1 speedrunning for relic.

Personally out of those 2 solely basing the opinion on how the classes work in theory (since I have neither up to 60) I'd pick drg, even though Fire IV looks neat :D

I was actually talking about savage. I don't think the HP is the same for normal, but you should be killing him before the split if you have 6 dps in normal. That said, 4 dps can kill him before the jump in Savage so it's not exactly a large feat for 6 dps to do so.

IMO, Drg and Blm and very similar type of dps, cuz they both hit "big numbers" for certain skills, unlike jobs like ninja, mnk, smn, those have a rather more flatten graph line when u look at their dps

i main Drg, so i would honestly tell u that the GCD rotation is fixed, 100% fixed unchangable, the main difference is how do u manage cooldown usage inbetween GCDs. So unless you are very passionate in Drg, you would get bored of it over time too, just like how you got bored about Blm's.

However, while you mention the blm and drg you had met in A4 normal, I would put it this way: Blm is harder to master for sure while comparing to Drg.
Mainly bcuz you have much shorter time to learn and practice about it before going in the field. Drg would have BOTD at lv54, the 2 4th tier combo at Lv 56 and Lv58, and finally GK which is a OGCD at Lv60. So before hitting Lv60 and start the grind and all that, you have at least 6 levels of time to learn the GCD rotation. Then when you look at Blm's, the most 2 important GCD skills you get from the expansion only come at the very end of leveling, which was Blizzard 4 at Lv58 and Fire 4 at Lv60, so whoever plays Blm would definitely have much less time to practice their mature Lv60 GCD rotation before actually getting to Lv60, assuming we ignore how much time of each individual would invest on dummy and fights to master their rotation and dps numbers.

Furthermore, that thread for Drg-per-second has been there since the very beginning of 3.0, therefore a lot of Drgs, good or bad, they can literally get better at Drg by just read and learn everything on that thread (thanks and respect to Derpy).

IMO again, play whatever you like better, if you find Drg more interesting, shoot for it an why not? unless you have a static already and it could be a problem for you to change your main job easily.

Touché. I should have just linked FF logs and pointed out that DRG doesn't top the charts for any savage floors.
